ENTREPRENEURSHIP PROGRAMHelping You Get The Most Out Of Your Business
MODULE V – CREATING A SUSTAINABLE BUSINESS
IV. Giving Back
Learn to give back.
To receive, give.
To make money, invest. To be loved, love.
To be trusted, trust.
To inspire, feel inspired.
That is the Law of Cause and Effect: Whatever you give, you will receive. It’s a give-and-take equation. You can’t take without giving.
Therefore, when you succeed, you will need to give back in return to sustain that success. You were granted success for a reason. It is your responsibility to give back in return what was given to you. Maybe your company can donate? Or your staff can volunteer? Think of ways you can tithe through your business.
Once you succeed, become the lighthouse for others to also succeed. First you will get there. And once you get there, then you should be able to send light back to help others get there.
Giving Back Guide
The Law of Cause and Effect is not a new concept. Read the book The Game of Life and How to Play It by Florence Scovel Shinn. First published in 1925, this book explains the key to life, which we now refer to as the Law of Cause and Effect, Karma, or giving and receiving. The author states that life is a game about giving and receiving. Today, it’s more than a game — it’s the key to success. It is important to understand that what we put out in the world, whether it is a thought or action, will be returned to us and will affect the quality of our lives.

Beverly Hills Mayor on Why Healthy is the New Glam and Meditating with Deepak Chopra
My exclusive interview with Lili Bosse, Mayor of Beverly Hills.
Nathalie Virem: Why did you decide health and wellness were important initiatives for the city of Beverly Hills?
Lili Bosse: My initiative as a Mayor is that Beverly Hills be a healthy city: healthy people, healthy economy, and healthy government. What I really believe is if we’re healthy on the inside, then everything else falls into place. That’s true as individuals and it’s true as a city. So I felt that we as a community could bond on that issue — that we can really thrive, if we look into what it is as individuals, that will make us feel healthy on the inside.
