MODULE II – WRITE A RESUME ALIGNED WITH YOUR BRAND
II. Transferrable skills
Candidates usually have a hard time explaining their transferrable skills or finding evidence that they have the skills required for a particular job. And in reality this is something that is really easy to do. Most candidates are like icebergs, they only show or think they have a certain very small percentage of skills and in reality they have so many more skills that they even know.
The way you do this is through the concept of framing. Framing consists of thinking about your own professional, academic and volunteering history and then learning how to select the right experiences that you can then extract. And then surround those experiences with the right language and words.
